Winding and hilly back roads spin a web of West Feliciana Parish...

where motorcyclist and bike cyclist alike enjoy the serene country roads so different to the rest of Louisiana.  Several motor bike, car and cyclist make an their annual trek to St. Francisville. 

Cyclist clubs hold road races throughout the year.  In May, the parish put's on the Annual Memorial Weekend Classic.

For those brave-hearted mountain bikers try the West Feliciana Parish Recreation and Sports Park.

This easy 29-mile loop follows small country roads that go by The Myrtles Plantation, Butler Greenwood Plantation, the historic Locust Grove Cemetery and the Audubon State Historic Site.

Biking West Feliciana


Spectacular scenery, historic sites, canopy roads and challenging hills await your next ride in West Feliciana Parish.

Greenwood Plantation Turnaround

This 25 mile ride goes to Greenwood Plantation and back to Tourist Information Center. You will travel along  Tunic Road across Bayou Sara on Low water bridge along tree-lined route. Tour Greenwood Plantation.

Hilly But Happy Loop

This 35-mile loop has lots of small hills with a couple of huff and puff hills. The roads are in good condition except for Jones Vaughn Creek Road, which has not been resurfaced. You’ll enjoy this ride as you work to get up a hill and then enjoy the thrill of careening down the other side. Beautiful, sandy creeks greet you at the bottom of the hills. Some of them are inviting enough to entice you in for a swim or at least to rest and have a snack. There are no stores along the route, so bring plenty of water and snacks.

Rosedown Loop

This 15-mile loop will give you a taste of the Feliciana hills without a commitment of lots of miles. At the end of the ride, you can enjoy the beautiful gardens of Rosedown Plantation.

St. Francisville to Jackson Loop

This 45-mile loop will reward you with beautiful, small country roads that go by the lovely plantation homes, The Myrtles and Butler Greenwood both of whom are open for tours. You will also travel in front of the historic Locust Grove Cemetery and the Audubon State Historic Site. At the Audubon State Historic Site, you can visit the nearly 200-year-old Oakley Plantation and view several original Audubon prints. There are no stores along the route, so bring lots of water and snacks. Rolling with a few hills

Very light traffic on most of the roads. You will encounter traffic on Hwy. 61 but there is a shoulder.
