ST. FRANCISVILLE - Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site

Lost Arts Saturdays: African and Caribbean Influence in Southern Antebellum Cooking: February 18, 2012, 11 am – 2 pm.  In recognition/celebration of Black History Month, State Parks Staff will discuss and demonstrate the tremendous influence of African and Caribbean peoples to the cooking heritage of the Antebellum South.  Visitors will receive printed menus and recipes of all dishes prepared during this demonstration, highlighting the specific African and Caribbean influences in each recipe.
